An indoor planter, a seamoss fragrance, a song bird platter in beaten copper and a quirky chaiwalla set make our monsoon shopping list this week.
Every Monday the team at My Big Red Bag looks far and wide at the ideas, designs, fashions, books, food and more that you MUST try out this week.

We’ve expressed our admiration for Art by Aarohi on these pages before. We love her design aesthetic as much as her eagerness to contribute to a good cause. As part of her partnership with Voice of Stray Dogs (VoSD), a limited number of her signature sling bags are available on the VoSD website. Proceeds from the sale will go towards rescuing stray dogs. Do a good deed while flaunting a one-of-a-kind bag – it doesn’t get any better!
Be it incense sticks, scented candles or pot-pourri, the MBRB team has a weakness for home fragrances. The problem is finding something that looks good and smells even better! Enter Rosemoore’s range of reed diffusers. With names like Eucalyptus & Kaffir Lime, Egyptian Cotton and Seville Orange, and aromas to match, their products make a sweet addition to your monsoon shopping bag. We’re currently addicted to Seamoss, but frankly, each of their dozen scents is worth a dekko.
A few droplets of rain. The whiff of wet earth. A lush garden of green. Gift a piece of monsoons to someone with this beautiful Syngonium in a sky blue metal planter. The plant is fairly easy to care for, and is suitable for the garden, balcony or even the living room. So ditch the shopping vouchers and chocolate boxes, go green with your gifting this monsoon!
If the monsoons have arrived in India, can chai be far behind? Enjoy your special cuppa with this delightful Chaiwalla Set by PoppadumArt. As they say on their website, “It comes complete with a tea kettle, six cutting chai glasses, a serving crate and a whole load of nostalgia.”
Bored of the same old serveware? We can’t take our eyes off Coppre’s beaten copper objects, and were to win a lottery, we would buy everything on their website! Till that happens, we’ll settle for this gorgeous song-bird platter. Use it to serve your favourite snack, store your knick knacks or just buy it as an object of art!
What’s keeping you sane this week? Ready to welcome the rains? Fill this form or send us a mail at email@example.com to be among the first to be informed of MBRB’s Monsoon Story Box – three unique products to celebrate the great Indian monsoon!
